Can’t find information regarding isolation pay (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by fannytraggot
So, someone at my store tested positive and a bunch of us are showing symptoms. I haven’t been able to get a test bc they have been unavailable everywhere. My father has tested positive. My SM is now claiming that I need a positive test in order to get paid for my hours. Can anyone link me to the official corporate policy? Thanks in advance.

I would call the PCC to make sure. From what my store/ SM was told is that if a partner has to go into isolation for two weeks, they would be paid isolation pay up to, I believe, two isolation periods. We all got it before the vaccination roll out, so even if you tested neg you still had to stay home for the full two weeks, which is why they were paying us. I would call them directly and figure it out with them if you can.

No true! If you have to isolate you should be paid for those hours. Unless this is like the 4th time isolating .

This is my first time.

The search function on the partner hub is a disaster, but if you dig through the old weekly updates (they should still be filed in there somewhere) the 10-day isolation pay policy is in there. I think I last saw it a month or two ago? A call to the PCC would be good too, they probably get a lot of calls like this and could help you figure it out! I was recently out for 10 days because I had a sinus infection and I still got paid even though my covid test was negative. Best of luck to you!

I think you can only see weekly updates from company devices. I'll ask someone who is at the store to check for me

Is there a way to know if we've used both times? I feel like covid has been ongoing forever I truly don't know if I isolated once or twice but am feeling sick.

In the same boat! My sm texted me saying we would figure out the best way to support me. I was exposed on Christmas and had a low fever yesterday and I’m just stuffy today. He basically said he needs to know my test results to put me on isolation or use my suck houRs which I have 12 so no that’s not the best option for me. Do we have to test positive to get it? He said it’s limited But I haven’t used it once.

I was told by my SM that they don’t require tests. So I would double check that info!

Depends on the state also. California has CALOSHA ETS pay specifically for those that have to quarantine due to a close contact at work.

You just need 2 secondary or 1 primary covid symptom to get the isolation especially since you stated it was your first one. The tests are very hard to find right now, and if you let them know you’re unable to find them but report covid-like symptoms you’ll be put on isolation pay
fannytraggot [OP] 1 points 1y ago
my SM claims she needs a test result to fill out some form for our isolation pay
Former-Highway-6665 2 points 1y ago
Hmmm maybe that is true, but for me they just said since i couldn’t get a test (and I’m assuming the other people thatve been on Isolation couldn’t either) that it was fine. But they could have just filled it in with positive. That’s weird though, if you’re having symptoms and been exposed it’s odd they won’t just give it to you.

I know for certain they don’t have to upload a picture of your positive test or anything, it’s most likely a button they have to press.

not true, as long as you are showing symptoms you get isolation and isolation pay. call your dm directly
fannytraggot [OP] 1 points 1y ago
my dm told my sm that we won't qualify for isolation pay without a positive test
thtmoodindigo 2 points 1y ago
idk if that’s true, maybe it’s different depending on the state? i’m in ny and that’s what my dm told me directly. definitely look into it

Then you should be paid.

Did you look on the partner hub?
fannytraggot [OP] 1 points 1y ago
I looked on multiple page and couldn’t find any info on iso pay policy.

Hmm I’ll see if I can find something for you. Did you disclose your vax status?
