Pulse surveys! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by XxSleepypanda
This week the question was “do you think leaders understand the complexities (phrasing?) of daily tasks? I marked both as 1 (not at all) and this was my comment
“Drive times do not account for order size or complexity and is one of the few metrics anyone cares about and it is unreasonable. Mobile orders have no limits and create pure chaos and stress, especially when other stores are closed and overflow to another location. Very stressful. High turnover due to these issues. I cannot stress how big of an issue this is. Too many things to do, not enough “labor” on the floor to ensure everyone is getting proper breaks. SSV’s going without lunches. Overworking people to the point of burn out quickly. “
That’s the simplest way I could think to phrase it. DO YOUR SURVEYS. They need to understand that this is absolutely ridiculous.

I hate it because I always seem to get the survey either on my day off when the stress of the last shift has faded or after one of the rare “good” shifts. Today was not one of those I wish I could summon the survey now, but definitely will be on the lookout for one.
