Unpopular opinion but these pics always irritate me. The time it takes you to pull ALLL of these stickers out of sequence, pull your phone out, and take a picture you could have done Atleast 2-3 drinks 😂 I get the point of showing your getting slammed but it’s just highly ironic

Yup, if ever walked on the floor and someone had done this, I would turn around and leave. I've.had people from other stores come over and start pulling out tags like this while I'm on bar and I've yelled at them. If it's just me on bar, the two tags that I'm working on and the one tag sticking out of the machine should be the only ones visible.

I am the ssv and am on customers support😊
i had 4 baristas packed on our hot/cold bar and letting them work at the pace that they feel works best with them. Because I had a second in between my duties i snapped a picture to show our boss, since one of our mastrenas are down to let him know to turn off our mobiles. posted the picture to here because… i had the picture already

lol they are old and going out quickly😅 it stops pulling often and every time we submit a ticket and a tech comes out they say they don’t make the parts anymore really so they’re hard to get and fix… “they can go out on us at any moment” is what they said specifically

but we are getting the exact same machine any day now (still old ones) but from a less populated store bc we are TERRIBLY high volume

It's no wonder you're behind if you're not working in routine. There's no advantage to pulling stickers like this. Two drinks at a time. Use your second machine to pull extra shots and for Americanos. Bar support should be pouring milks and making cold bar drinks.

Had you pulled 2-3 stickers at a time + NOT taken the time to carefully arrange the stickers on the mastrena, pulled out your phone to take a picture, these drinks wouldn’t have taken more than 5 minutes to make.

See some mobiles on the right but my anxiety is still triggered! I usually pull until I see another espresso drink I can start while hitting the cold stuff. Good luck!

“There are people who would kill to have work” is true but saying that in response to someone who’s overwhelmed and looking for empathy is incredibly invalidating. You basically said ‘don’t complain about a stressful shift because someone has it worse’. So, yea. As opposed to my contribution I’d say it wasn’t too hot.
