never thought i’d say this, but i really MISS working (self.starbucksbaristas)

i’m out on leave right now after having 2 open hernia surgeries. been out since the 17th and scheduled to go back jan 10th. i’m so worried i won’t be ready to go back because i’m still in so much pain. kinda sad that when i go back i can only do window, dto, or front bc i can’t lift anything over 5 lbs. going to be so boring!!! but i miss my coworkers a lot, i don’t have many friends outside of work so feeling pretty lonely without that daily socializing. i thought i’d be dreading going back, but i am so ready and would be back if i wasn’t in so much pain

I'm glad you got a good crew&store to look forward to going back to! I haven't had a hernia surgery but that definitely sounds painful, I hope you'll feel well enough to go back on the 10th!!! Definitely try to take it easy, I had a chest surgery(trans surgery) and was definitely feeling cooped up by the time I was about cleared for lifting and went to volunteer at a horse ranch and definitely overdid it a bit at first!

yes i am very lucky! i have worked at a bunch of different stores and i would never feel this way about coming back. definitely going to try to take it easy when i go back, no matter how boring it gets bc i have spent so much time in the hospital this year i am over it!!
