i went to target today to get my booster & do some general shopping and decided to grab a drink on my way out. there was only one girl working (which seems to be the norm based off this sub) and the kiosk was SLAMMED. there were a few people with their kids who were getting super impatient. none of them walked up and said anything, but i could see on her face she was overwhelmed. i wish i could have left her a huge tip 😭 y’all deserve it

When I worked a licensed store I had customers ask me if we had a tip jar. My go-to answer was that we don't really have one but I can't control where you leave your money if you walk away.

When I left target Starbucks in 2019, we were allowed to accept tips. Some say the policy is they have to decline, then they can keep it if the customer insists. You can always ask them if they're allowed ot.

Target starbucks target tip policy
1. TMs are not allowed to solicit tips.
2. If a guest INSISTS or just leaves the money after being informed we are not supposed to accept tips, TM may keep the tip.
3. Must notify TL or AP but they cannot force the TM to turn in the tip.
(Roughly translated from memorizing it myself off of workbench)

At my target starbucks we cant take tips bc like you cant tip the people walking around stocking shelves. People have gotten fired for taking tips.

At corporate stores, if you write on the money/ put a note on it that says it’s for a specific person they can’t divide it up at the end of the week for everyone. So possibly if you put it in a card and sealed it with their name on it and gave it to them they can’t really do much about that considering it looks like a card?
