So I was with Starbucks for 10 years as a SS. I started developing bilateral progressive hearing loss in both ears and now wear hearing aids. My SM at the time was a external hire who was toxic. .. so much in fact that our DM had many disciplinary actions against him. He would tell partners I’m making up my hearing loss. I found another job and put my two weeks in. It’s been two years now and I miss working at Starbucks. I applied to be a barista. My friends mother in law is the SM of one of the stores in our area. She said she saw my application and has to call corp to get me hired back on. I’m assuming the toxic manager I had at the time put me down as a no go for a rehire? Is it easy to get that lifted?

Corporate almost doesn’t care about what your rehire eligibility is. The hiring SM can hear what your previous SM wrote regarding the separation, but it’s ultimately up to them and the DM

yes @ what the other comment said! don’t be discouraged, i think it’s standard procedure to call PRC after prev partners re apply. ultimately it’s up to the hiring SM if they would take you on or not:)
