Iced quad espresso

"Espresso", next to the Americano button, then quad, iced.

There's a section in the beverage resource manual that clearly states that all add-ons or inclusions (including shots, syrups, fruit inclusions, etc) must be rung up as part of a base drink (such as a latte, or an iced tea, or something else that is NOT a free water or an incomplete "Grande [drink]" ).

Like, I'm all for saving money (example: if you want 2 or more espresso shots in your dirty chai, order it as a "latte with chai" rather than a "chai with x shots" to save a few cents. This is a completely legit strategic order.) but I am NOT here for getting chewed out by customers who are being charged CORRECTLY by baristas who are just trying to do their job.

To the baristas who are loose with standards: you are half the problem (ofc the customers are the other half). Making drinks consistently is NOT about being a corporate drone, it's about not creating more opportunities for entitled customer to lash out at your fellow baristas because "the other starbucks ALWAYS does it this way for me, so i KNOW you can do it too".

my former kiosk didn't have a doppio button let alone triple or quad so we either did venti americano iced or just 4 individual shots lmao

Then I usually ask if they have a cup size preference because sometimes they want it in a tall or a grande or maybe even a venti bc they’re pouring a protein shake over it.

Licensed here, we always rang it up as shots until some internal region competition sent out the item codes to ring them up. You know, instead of actually putting drink buttons into the system. Makes me wonder what else is hiding in the code.

Used to be very common to ring up (size) iced americano, no water, perhaps that’s what she meant
