Quick question in terms of calling out. (self.starbucksbaristas)

Im expecting a severe snow storm and I'm usually one to die to get to work, but am I being crazy for thinking I'll be reprimanded for calling out for weather? Or am I more crazy for thinking of going in?..

Thanks, messaged my boss and let him know i wont come if i feel unsafe :) right after i posted this i saw a post talking about someone who had a partner die coming to work on icy roads. So i took that as a sign

yes, do not do anything you feel unsafe doing for this job. technically the correct way to call out is to call the store and let the shift know but the earlier you let someone know, the better

yes OP you need to call the store asap, even if they’re closed so they can see you on the caller ID, then call back again at open and let them know then. otherwise it’s an improper call out
