Okay so yesterday was a shit show if I have ever seen one. Started off my shift with a ham and cheese croissant absolutely burnt to the core and smoking. Did not help that I was standing right next to the oven and I have asthma. Needless to say, I was coughing up a lung and my chest hurt for the entirety of my shift.

Not even 10 minutes later, I find out that one of my coworkers has been showing covid symptoms since friday. I worked with said coworker on wednesday, and did not find out about her showing symptoms until yesterday (sunday). So my shift was like, “retake the covid coach and see what it says now that you have been exposed.”

(I am fully vaccinated and supposed to be getting my booster sometime this week)

I retook the covid coach and it told me to not come into work and self isolate and blah blah blah. But the little shit was not finished, because I am fully vaccinated, I had to “continue my shift and self monitor.” We ended up closing the store at noon because I was the only closer that was “well” enough to come into work— everyone else had called out sick and surprise surprise they all had worked on wednesday with the coworker who is showing symptoms.

It is now 6:20am on monday and I cannot sleep because my throat is sore and my body aches. But no, I do not have to self isolate because I am fully vaccinated. This company is a fucking joke.
