Canadian Partners - maternity leave (self.starbucksbaristas)

Just wondering for my fellow Canadian partners if I apply for maternity through the CRA or through Starbucks?
I wasn't working my past pregnancies so this is all new for me. I see on the hub there is a form to fill out so I'm wondering if I apply through them and the CRA? I want to make sure I can still have my insurance benefits while on leave, and I've heard it's better to do it sooner than later! (Currently 17weeks)

Page 48 on the partner handbook

“Pregnant partners can use Sick Pay for any period of her pregnancy that is considered by her health care provider to be a period of medical disability for up to 7 days. If a partner wishes to continue to utilize Sick Pay for their personal illness/disability beyond 7 days, the Canada Leave Team must be engaged immediately as continued Sick Day usage must be approved by Desjardins.
Please contact the Canada Leave Team at CanadaLOA@starbucks.com to ensure proper processing of Leave of Absences and Sick Day usage when a partner wishes to utilize Sick Pay for a period greater than 7 days.”
