You're gonna be great. Don't stress. Remember pump/shot/drink size ratio. If you've got that, your golden. If you are taking orders, always remember to ask if they want it hot or iced, and if they ask for a milk substitute ask if they want to keep the whip if it's a drink that has it. These two questions will make your bar person very happy and save a lot of remakes.

as a Floridian barista myself I think the best thing to know about is there’s ganna be a lot of rude costomers just focus on learning the ropes it’s ok to take ur time on certain subject all the other partners should relize they were once in your shoes too. Also realky memorize the pump ratio to cup size thing very important

i might be a floridian barista sometime this year if my dad doesn’t open his shop by the time i move down there but currently i’m a NY barista! best tips are never be afraid to ask questions, make flash cards of recipes and finally, pace yourself!!!! don’t try and rush everything when making drinks! also don’t forget matcha fraps and strawberries and creme fraps get classic syrup bc a lot of people seem to either not know that or forgets that it does😅
