How does one transfer & is it they lose position if transferring? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Logically, If that store doesn’t have a current need for SSVs, then you would not be able to transfer there. You’d have to find another store, or ask the SM (or possibly DM) to make an exception for you. Either way, just contact the SM and ask.
