OOF the “don’t put base” one :/

I once had a regular customer say with shock “wait, you guys have hot coffee?! Omg I’m calling my boyfriend.”

no literally when we had no frap base for a week it was bittersweet because on one hand, no frappuccino’s!!! on the other……the amount of huffing and puffing and speeding out of the drive thru was enough to give me a few grays

some lady said give me a latte without coffee and i was like 😀 so a steamer w milk and syrup or sauce of ur choice is the best i can do. and she got all mad and drove off????

Also reminds me when our steaming wand broke for a night and I would tell people we couldn't make hot lattes and they would order a hot mocha and I would have to explain a mocha is just a latte with chocolate syrup lmao my coworker told me to just tell them we couldn't do hot drinks(but i didn't like that bc we could do pikes obviously, americanos, and teas just not anything steamed, but that is the autism talking lol)

Pissed off one regular who I still hadn't fully remembered yet and she orders an "americano" (half is steamed breve and there's like 12 pumps of syrup) and she started to order and i remembered who she was and was like oooooh we can't steam the breve :') so she left lol

Tbh I don't even know what you mean by base and I get coffee at Starbucks all the time. Maybe people don't understand and are too dumb to articulate that they don't know what you're talking about. Also I worked in the service industry in various capacitors for a loooooong time and no matter where you work, you get the dumbest questions in the universe.
