Sick of people lying in order to get free drinks(self.starbucksbaristas)

Today we had this lady come back thru the line screaming at the top of her lungs about us making her almond milk chai tea wrong and claimed to be deathly allergic to dairy and that we made it with 2% milk (we didn’t because I made it myself) and demanded a refund and a remake . When she pulled up to the window and we asked her for the “messed up” drink back to ensure her safety she refused to give it back and asked if we could add whip to her remake and she got away it too🤪 doesn’t help that this company rewards behavior like this and doesn’t do anything about it

i have one customer that's a younger girl but is a bit aggressive, she will order one drink with tons of customizations, and when she gets to the window and pays she asks where her 2nd drink is. we noticed her pattern is to try to 'confuse' us into thinking we missed her 2nd drink and will get it for free, i always say "okay (first name i see on her app) your total for your drink you are ordering at the window is $$" and i see her back off a bit...

Lady walked in and loudly claimed that the Frappuccino her daughter bought for her earlier was made wrong and she was in a big hurry with a special needs child alone in her car and she wanted us to make it while she's in the bathroom and have it ready by the time she gets out because she needs to get back to the special needs child. I'm sorry to say my SSV gave in to her. What bothers me is them thinking I'm dumb enough to believe them.
Another named Donna orders an elaborate Frappuccino in the cafe (they seem to always be Frappuccino people,) scans her app which has little or no $ and immediately flies off to the bathroom. And there's a customer waiting behind her. I voided her transaction and waited on the legit customer. Once again SSV made the scam artist's moment right. There's a pattern of coming into the cafe, demanding we rush, and running to the bathroom in both of these ladies

A valuable skill I learned from working at Starbucks is how to tell ridiculous customers “no.” What are they gonna do? Get me fired? I’ve been yelled at for over ten years and not one has succeeded in getting me fired yet. Please do get me fired! It’s a weird power high when you just say “no” and then wait for their response. Obviously, you have to be a good judge of the situation too. There are many situations in which it is entirely appropriate to say yes. You can’t just throw “no” around whenever you feel like it. But in THAT situation I would have totally done it and enjoyed it. “No ma’am. Since you’ve mentioned that you’re deathly allergic to dairy I cannot give you whipped cream and I cannot allow you to keep the previous dangerous drink.”

Sadly my shifts are spineless and don’t say no and rather give drinks away to shut nagging customers , I know the siren can afford to give them away but I hate satisfying people with malicious intent

Speaking as a shift, we usually do it because it takes less time away from our other customers to just agree and hurry them out the door. I then pray their car breaks down and the tow truck can't get to them for hours.

I get that completely when you put it that way

Me too. I don’t care about giving away Starbucks money. But if you’re mean to me I won’t give you anything free.

Made 6 cappuccinos last night for one order right before close…as I handed them the last one they tell me that all of them are too dry and I need to remake them! After they had already handed them all out to their party! Then proceeded to try and get 3 more free drinks out of my ASM
