My store very large and in a shopping center located at an intersection of two main roads right next to a highway exist so we get very busy and it’s a very popular location, however despite this we are constantly understaffed, during peak we usually have one person on DT, one one front register/food ovens, and 2 on bar, and if we’re lucky it’s slow enough for the person at the register to also do CS which for the size and popularity of our store is not nearly enough I’m part time yet often have to stay later than normal because someone called out, yet despite all this and despite having a good amount of applicants (some of which being people I know from school who have great work ethic) we have only hired one person in the 2 months since I’ve been hired it’s gotten to the point where some of my coworkers are making half jokes about unionizing
