I don’t want to be fired nor do I want to quit (self.starbucksbaristas)

So I was on a LOA in October due to me trying to me having suicidal thoughts and was on suicidal watch at the ER until I was admitted to a behavioral hospital due to my roommate breaking her lease and leaving all the financial burden on me plus I was getting super overwhelmed and depressed while working as hell, I had to move back in with my sister after I was discharged, I told my boss everything and she told to contact Starbucks pccs and asked for a medical leave. I did what was told and contacted them, I got approved and everything put I had to return on the 30th of November 2021. I was in the middle of transferring and I told that I was going to transfer store after the leave is up.
Which I did, I contacted a store I want to work considering it’s close to me and I don’t have to spend much on Uber but they sm told they wasn’t hiring but she’ll contact another store and they’ll interview me there, didn’t think much of it.
I was however busy with babysitting my nieces and was cleaning my sister house every single day, I gotten so overwhelmed with staying at my sister house I didn’t get to focus on me or trying to get transferred. Plus it til December to get my both my checks and my LOA was already up.
I called another store every day, nobody picked up the phone and when they did, I ask them for Sm and they was either busy or they wasn’t there, I give them my information and hope they’ll get it.
But two days before New Years I finally gotten to a store manager and they did get my information and they told me they’ll be in touch. I try not to call many times so I won’t be a nuisance to the store
Now a week later I haven’t heard for them, and I haven’t went to work for 2 months now. I tried contacting them again but they were no answers so yesterday my new manager at my old location contacted me and asked about LOA
I told them I was transferring stores but I haven’t heard from the store manager yet, well a long story short I told about the “separation” process and how I can reapply for Starbucks in future, I wanted to cry right then and there because I didn’t want to quit or to be fired.
He told it was a new rule for Starbucks transfer, they separate from a store and then reapply for a new one. Idk how Starbucks policy works but to avoid separation, I told him I’ll return to work.
I feel so stupid even saying it but what could I do, I have no money, I can’t even pay my bills. If this means I’m gonna be homeless then I guess it’s fine. I know it’ll be temporary but it sucks that I have to be homeless all over again because I don’t want to leave a company I care about
Before you judge me, I need Starbucks for not only paying off my bills, but I need it for therapy considering it’s for free and I don’t have money to get help.
(I’m on a personal leave now, so all I have to do is wait until it’s approved)

It may have been Sedgwick that separated you. It’s uncommon, but it has happened before. You may have to take this appeal to them, and if you can, have your old store’s SM back you up

Im sorry to hear this, thats so fucked up im sorry. But something is definitely wrong.
For needed money for bills, apply for CUP fund, which is there for partner in need of disastrous events/life changing, like your bakeracts/hospitalization, following your current situation. They will then issue money to help out
As for dealing with everything else, trying arranging a time to discuss this with your old store manager, and if that does nothing, go to your district manager and have them look into it. Also ask Sedgwick for documentation stating you went on a LOA, so of they trying putting this off, you have your proof. I attached a link, go to page 8 and it gives a list of numbers.
And this is what i did personally when i was in a similar situation, i talked to the hospital and my psychiatrist and asked for Short term disability, so you have time to recover and work on yourself, while getting paid

I already use the cup fund in the past so I can’t use it again, I will contact Starbucks tomorrow so I can get this fixed and transfer somewhere else

I just transferred between states in September 2021. That's not how it works. I never lost my employment with starbucks. Both my SMs talked as did the DMs and I was in.

This doesn’t sound right at all. Have you tried talking to the dm? I believe that technically they are supposed to figure out a store to transfer to and that it’s not a job that falls on you. That’s at least how my transfer was handled when I got corporate involved. Also I would suggest calling PCC as well as Sedgwick.

I could be wrong, but I also think you can call PCC at any time, you don’t have to wait for business hours.
