first day on the floor/DTR :](self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by enbyveils
my first day at starbucks was on thursday, but today was the day they put me on the floor. it was insanely hectic in my area thjs week (freak snow storm/hella ice) so i didnt get to have my training thjs week but i was told i'll get my proper training next week and to pretend like this week "never happened" lolol
i learned a bit how to brew the different coffees but i was in drive thru (i think dtr?) my entire shift (8-1) and it wasn't as bad as i thought!!! (probably because i used to do drive thru at mcdonalds a while ago)
it was pretty easy and straight forward, but is there any advice i should know? the register is still pretting confusing and the points (starbucks rewards thing) is kinda confusing too so if anybody has any tips for me to get better it would be very appreciated !!!!

If you are comfortable with customer interaction, drive thru window/order definitely feels the easiest! When it does get busy and hectic (despite the snow storm) try not to let yourself get overwhelmed! At the end of the day it's just coffee :] I'm still relatively new as well but you learn some cool tips as you make more drinks and practice!
