Are we allowed to wear short acrylics with neutral colors? Or even like very light colored regular polish?

No, and that isn’t an exclusive Starbucks thing. Polish can flake and break into customer drinks and is a food hazard.

It's nothing to do with the colour of the nails, it's a health and safety issue having acrylics/nail polish on when you're working with food and drink.
Nails can chip and fall off, polish can flake (even clear polish lol), glitters and whatnot can fall off... dress code says no fake nails, no polish, and your nails should be kept short and clean.

You can search Starbucks dress code on the internet and it should pull up. The short answer is No. From the dress code it says this: NO nail polish or artificial nail coverings.* **Federal food safety guidelines prohibit this contamination hazard*.

No nothing on the nails at all. Kind of a bummer cause I used to love getting my nails done. But if it’s between a paycheck and cute nails I’m picking the cash.
I still don’t understand this rule though. I see other fast food workers in my area wear long blinged out nails all the time. If it’s truly a food safety issue why isn’t no polish a rule across the board in food service?

You can not wear mail polish or nails unless you wear gloves over it

I understand nail polish, but not acrylics. Acrylics don't peel and flake.

they don’t, but they can fall off and end up in someone’s drink, in the ice, etc. Personally if I see an employee wearing polish or acrylics, I probably won’t return to the establishment because they lack food safety standards. You learn that when you get your food handlers card. It is not a Starbucks thing.
