This just happened to me as well. Multiple people at my store tested positive. I’m vaccinated but I have symptoms. Unfortunately, they’re symptoms that I always have because I’m also a longhauler. And I was unable to get tested due to all the recent shenanigans. So I had no proof, and thus I had to use my sick hours.

Well that’s difficult to answer, your SM will have a better answer. If you any symptoms, obviously tell your SM. If you do have symptoms, you are isolating for at least 10 from original day of symptoms, and you get paid. But if you dont have symptoms but just dont feel comfortable and wish to isolate, im sure you can still do it, while rearranging your shifts with your SM, but you may not get paid

I think you should get a test even if you are vaccinated. This way you know if you can pass it to a roommate or boy/girlfriend.

Exposure alone does not require isolation (depending on your vaccination status). You need to either test positive, or have symptoms per CDC guidelines. Just wanting to isolate is not enough.

Unless you're REQUIRED to isolate, they won't pay you. But you could call in sick for the 5 days saying you have symptoms?

It is highly recommended by doctors to have a good week of rest after the vaccine to avoid undesirable secondary effects, you must insist on this on behalf of your health. They can get a replacement for a few days.
