SM wont have me isolate even though i have been definitely closer than 6 ft and stayed with to a person who literally tested positive for covid (self.starbucksbaristas)

said as long as im vaccinated i have to come in. my friend is also vaccinated and shes suffering. im planning on quarantining with the friend, because i dont want to get others sick. tired of this bs

its fucking crazy when were literally in the middle of a pandemic like im not trying to get other ppl sick. i didnt get covid until possibly now even when my bf had it in september and i lived with him

If you’re showing symptoms after exposure then you can’t go in because you won’t pass the covid coach. Unless you have a negative test of course.

If you’re in the US it’s because of the CDCs new guidelines. And honestly I’d love to see the research and data behind it. Because I have questions.

I have a second job and work in a treatment center. At one point every single client was positive and my Starbucks SM told me to monitor my symptoms. I am vaccinated and boosted so I wasn’t worried but it is very interesting how even when exposed we can still technically come in. A very odd feeling!

I literally see a post saying stuff like this almost every day. I get it, you feel worried about potentially exposing your coworkers to covid. However, your SM isn’t going against policy and Starbucks policy is based on CDC guidelines. If you’ve been exposed and you’re vaccinated then you don’t have to quarantine unless you are having symptoms. Starbucks is requiring all partners to be vaccinated and once you’re vaccinated your risk of serious illness and death decreases significantly. So it wouldn’t really make sense to have every person with potential exposure isolate.

Right. They go on about “Starbucks” not caring and how terrible of a company it is for doing this. Good luck anywhere else than because literally every company out there is following the same exact guidelines. You could be a nurse and they’d be telling you the same thing, along with the cashier at the supermarket, the local librarian, and your tax guy. Your problems are not with Starbucks

This. So tired of seeing people claim that this is Starbucks being evil and wanting to make you sick. Yes you may have a manager breaking rules but this is not a Starbucks thing this is a general American workforce policy thing, welcome to adulthood and making ends meet

Half of my store is out right now and I’ve been in close contact with all of the other people that have tested positive yet my SM never told me and now She’s Out with Covid. Had to convince my proxy SM that it was not safe for me to keep working.

I could if swore you had to isolate if someone in your household was positive. I read the update maybe I read wrong but I could of swore you could isolate for 5 days if you were exposed and not positive whether vaccinated or not. I'm not in today or tomorrow but read last week's update and see what it says.

I was in the same position. I spent the entire shift in the back unmasked with the person who tested positive (we were both vaxxed). She tested positive and went into isolation, I still had to work. It just went on and on with quite a few people who tested positive in my store. We had a total of 10 people who were able to work at one point.
