Kind of a small thing but I work at a Kroger licensed store and we aren’t allowed to have drinks or have any of the “expired” pastries that are being thrown away. Is this an all licensed stores thing?

Not sure about licensed but taking home expired food is considered theft at my corporate store

A lot of people take the food home anyway because we do not enforce it.

My manager does not care if we take home the expired food. She encourages us to.
