I was a barista at Barnes and Noble 3.5 years. You are not a Starbucks employee, you are a Barnes and Noble employee. It’s not even a licensed store. You do not get free drinks or food, you don’t get benefits, and you have to be screamed at every day for not accepting Starbucks gift cards or the app. It is not worth it.

They do not my sister used to work at one they don’t even get a good discount :( but could be better pay depending on where you are

There are no barista only people at b and n
All employees get a free fall drink of lemonade tea or iced coffee every shift
All employees get 40 off drinks and food

I worked there seasonally in 2011/2012. Starbucks has better benefits. Marks outs, food/drink, healthcare, Lyra, Spotify. Barnes and Noble does offer a sort of "library" services where you can borrow a book for 14 days (might not still be a policy though).

People will complain. Every. Single. Day. About not being able to use their points and gift cards for purchases, or not having all the same menu items as the corporate stores.
