yup, i hate making them too but i won’t lie- brown sugar shaken is so damn good (it’s less annoying when i make it for myself)

I actually hate making all the shaker drinks

I like shaken espressos as they are easy, and I feel like a cool bartender doing it:)

Yeah, shots take time to pull, but still...More fun than a crappacinno (frapp):)

FINALLY!!!!! Someone else agrees with me!!!! I’ve been saying that shaken espressos are tied as my least favorite drinks (with Frappuccino’s) because EVERYONE who gets a shaken espresso gets a venti size! One time i had to make 5 shaken espressos, all venti, back-to-back, ranging 5-7 shots!

They don’t bother me despite taking forever to make, because I know they slap

I only hate it because its unrealistic to make for the way that we have to make them. Literally have to either put extra ice or extra milk to fill the cup eventhough these drinks made at actual coffeeshops where they were designed don't put them in different sized cups and are in the appropriate sized cups so you don't have the dilemma of room left in the cup

Someone ordered three ventis with vanilla and brown sugar and sweet cream foam in drive through the other day

I love making them. If your 3-shot button is taking too long, pull the shots in 2’s and 1’s rather than 3 or 3 and 1. It’s two separate grinds and pulls but it finishes faster than pulling a 3 shot and you’re less likely to get bad shots.

I actually don’t mind them. It gives me a second to take a breath while the shots pour and it lets me show the green beans who weren’t taught it how to make them correctly

I think the shaken espresso drinks are fun to make. 🤷🏾‍♂️ I'd rather do those than Frappuccinos tbh.

I just hate handing out one that is not full because a partner did not shake enough. For some of us (me) 10 shakes is not enough to get the foam to fill the cup. The result is sad and has customers giving me a hard time at the window

For me...its not waiting for the shots to pull, wht gets me is, we switch out small wares and stuff cuz of covid so we have one shaker behind bar..with hella shaken expressos or Refresher stickers..like ugh, waiting for one drink to be made is in the way🤦🏽‍♀

I still like them more than Frappuccinos. I hate putting the Frappuccino lid on so much 😭😭😭

I look forward to them because it gives me time to set up for other drinks, wipe my bar/get in 30 seconds of cleaning or check backups. Even just some time to breathe is nice lol

I love making them, actually. It was one of the first drinks I thought I really nailed down--when I was fresh out of training, a fellow partner had me make a bunch one night in all different sizes, until it looked like it was layered properly. Trick is to fill the ice to the size line above it, so if someone orders a grande, fill the ice to the top venti line, then pour the shots on top. You get just enough room for the milk, and it gets the really pretty swirl effect.

i love shaking espressos bc it’s easier to get everything set up while ur waiting for the shots :) and if ur still waiting for shots u can go and make something else idk

Literally this. I'm in training and I was left alone for an hour or two by myself today, and I swear I had to make at least 10 of these. They take me so much time why can't people just order the pistachio latte and call it a day 🥲

No one else agrees with me at my store but when you shake the espresso it makes it smell bad I’m my opinion idk why but it does😩

SAME UGH!!! and i’m so bad at making them. I never put enough ice for the venti ones and they end up having too much oatmilk

I don’t mind the regular one but the two blonde ones drive me insane because half our customers get like 6 shots in them and we only have one machine that does blonde. So I end up having a backlog of like 10 drinks all waiting on blonde shots and it takes FOREVER

The main reason I request to be put on cold bar every day I’m there. Give me caramel crunch and mocha cookies any day! At least I can make those pretty lol

I hate them and iced green tea lattes because they are usually ordered with some type of cold foam. Lets put cold foam upon a super foamy drink already! Wheee!

Y’all I just made one and they asked for 5 shots multi flavored NO ICE extra shaken😳 you know I shook this thing cause we got to right! 🌋 It was a hot mess everywhere, but all I could do was laugh. Probably looked little crazy but 😂

my fave drink for years has been a grande starbs double shot w two vanilla bean no classic and extra soy and now when i order it it’s a damn hassle and i feel like partners think i’m just being annoying because shaken espressos are about as annoying as cold foam on a hot drink like okay discontinue shaken espressos and don’t speak to me or my double shot ever again

Super easy to make 🤣🤣🤣 literally just make espresso add ice to the shaker syrup and espresso then shake… if you got the brown sugar just add cinnamon that’s all….

Yea p damm annoying if im slammed w them i wont even lie i just pour the shots straight into the cup... its not like it actually matters lol
