At my store, window isn't supposed to have a headset since they're supposed to be connecting with the customers (I know, I know 🙄) so I just DTO/warm as if they don't have it on even if they do.
If they do have one on and I need help, I ask them for help. There are some people who want help and some who have their own routine (me) that would rather do everything myself.
