lol someone orders a shot in the dark expecting a red eye, a bell chimes across the cafe like it’s a trader joe’s checkout, we all just start celebrating, high fiving, taking off our aprons, turning off the lights, and walking out. my shift supervisor, the last one out, looks back over their shoulder and gives a thumbs up. “thanks, have a great!” they say. the customer stands there in the dark, alone and confused, gives the ole “where do i pick up my drink?” expression. *scene*
