Hot americano with sweet cream foam, like WTF, it is literally going to melt instantly. Also, they're paying over a dollar for melted sad-looking sweet cream. 🙃 But hey, go ahead, it is not my drink after all...

I have encountered this many many times. They mean no espresso. They want a hot chocolate. They’re just incompetent.

today a guy tried to order a mango dragonfruit refresher with three pumps. “3 pumps of what?” we ask. “just 3 pumps,” he replies.

We stopped making his drink if he didn't order it to our store the third day in a row. He said "Starbucks is still getting the money." Okkkkkk andddddd?? Our store isn't getting the labor or product cost.

Also have a regular we refer to as Chai guy. He won't go to any other store and only wants certain people to make his drink. He has to watch and approve each step of the drink making process. Constantly has to be remade, sometimes without even trying it because "its the wrong color." Ready for this?

We get people asking for hot caramel crunchs every now and then; I actually had someone order one when I was on register once; I rang her up for a whole milk latte with blonde espresso, dark caramel, and crunch topping.

That was the only time I've seen one of those customers actually get something like that (in hindsight, I think I may have perpetuated it a little bit, lol)

this woman orders this between 5-6 am almost every morning. often times she asks for a remake too, because partners don’t see the ask me for no whip on bottom amid the sea of toppings. and sometimes she asks for even more toppings in a short cup, for free, because we “didn’t put as much as we usually do.” the cup is always full tho, it’s just a difference in how the whip is done.

So something similar happened to me before, they asked for something along the lines of a hot chocolate, no mocha, no whip. I was super confused but I’m 99% sure they didn’t realize that steamers are a menu item/what a steamer is and that they could easily order steamed milk without having to customize a hot chocolate. I meant to ask the person about it but it was a mobile pickup and I missed them.

I once had a lady get a grande nitro cold brew double blended. The consistency was so weird and It felt wrong adding ice to nitro. Literally had to put it in a venti cup to not make a mess.

For me it’s whenever they ask for milk to be replaced with sweet cream, like the caloric and sugar content must be off the charts. And then to see it as an everyday drink, woof.

OATMEAL in a shaken espresso. legitimate oatmeal. it was a brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso but they actually wanted oatmeal in it too

Today someone ordered the sugar cookie almond milk latte, sub Oatmilk and chestnut praline for the SC syrup. Why not a chestnut praline Latte made with Oatmilk, no whip. We added the topping. But wtf.

Oh lord the DRINKS I COULD SPILL but ok so one of my favorites to actually make for this customer(because they tipped RIDICULOUSLY WELL) was a grande latte four shots extra hot no foam half nonfat half half and half, ristretto shots four Splenda four sweet n low with three stir sticks on the side and four napkins. We usually saw the front of his car and started getting his drink ready 😂😂😂😂
Also got a regular customer with a tall iced coffee in a trenta cup 10 pumps classic 10 pumps vanilla 10 sugar in the raw with sweet cream to the top. 😔 people want what they want no matter what anyone else says
