Transfer advice (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by lucille1101
Hi everyone! I’ve been at my current location for only 3 months. I started working at Starbucks when I came home from college abruptly and needed a job. I just got an apartment back near my school to finish my last semester (yay) but unfortunately my school is in a different state. How should I go about letting my manager know that I’m leaving and talking to her about a transfer.

The main reason I’m nervous is because I’m not giving her a lot of notice. I’m moving in two weeks but I had no idea that this was going to be a possibility until now.

The whole thing is making me so anxious as I know we’re so understaffed and she’s going to be upset and would love any advice on how to approach this.

Thanks :)

You get the form on the hub, call the new store you’re transferring to to make sure they need people, then fill out the form and give it to your manager. That’s it. Just did it myself for out of state. Just follow up continuously on where and who has the form.
