We closed it yesterday due to the fact that we're one of like two or three stores in the disctrict open and we want to protect the partners we still have as much as possible. People seem to think the line of chairs and shit are just there to be a puzzle and keep trying to move them to get in even after I tell they they have to mobile order or go through the drive thru.
We had one lady who came in and started bitching up a storm about how she never spends money here, she's just trying to do something nice for the fedex workers across the street, so why should she have to download an app for two drinks or wait in our "long ass drive thru" for two drinks. I politely tell her that ma'am, we're doing this for the safety of partners and customers. She smuggly pulls the "Well, I'm the only person in here, so is it *really* a safety precaution?" Baffled, I look behind me at my coworkers and back to her and look her dead in the eye and say. "Well, Ma'am, we're also in here." She didn't like that answer but honestly? I don't care. I care more about my fellow partners than someone who wants to rant and rave about how they *never* spend money at starbucks, and how they'll *never* be back here again because either way, I still get paid.
the lack of common sense among customers is amazing
