I do food delivery and I just want to shoutout the awesome Starbucks baristas. I know all the food/service people are working crazy right now but baristas are on another level. Every Starbucks in my city gets hammered from open to close and I’ve never had a bad interaction no matter how insane it all looks. No one ever looks stressed, I rarely wait for anything, and the packaging is so convenient. You guys are amazing and I appreciate you! Sorry if other drivers are assholes btw.

I really appreciate this! I try to always throw a few coffees or waters at the delivery drivers. Its a rough job and the other day it was in the single digits!

I never thought about offering a cup of water or coffee to the drivers. I'm going to start doing that.

This guy once posted on Reddit that delivery drivers are the scum of the earth and are hated by all restaurant people because we just add more work without tips. So I always assume we are hated and I try to be very polite and gracious.

Nah, most of us just hate when delivery drivers show up 3 minutes after the order pops up then complain about how they’re losing money and it’s our fault because the 5 frap and 10 pastry order isn’t ready yet. If you’re just a normal, decent human, we don’t mind, and I’ll always offer a water or simple drink when I’m in a store that does delivery orders. We’re all just trying to do our best in jobs with less-than-perfect corporate policies and expectations.

Yeah that would piss me off major too. Especially because I’m sure food sits a lot waiting for drivers. I always think people are crazy ordering iced and blended drinks.
