How serious for incident report? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Coffeeandcrystalz
I’ve cut myself pretty badly on warming tonight, I’m a minor, and my mom keeps saying to file an incident report? Nobody mentioned anything to me but I thought that was only for serious stuff. I cleaned it and everything and of course it still hurts but I was just wondering how bad an injury has to be for an incident report?

Tell your shift lead about it. They'll have you call a number and you explain it to whoever over the phone. Depending on how bad or worse it can get. Like an infection or something of that sort. Just let them know. They most likely are going to ask you if you want to do an incident report.

This. Anything beyond minimal first aid (think papercut, stubbed toe, etc) you should file an incident report. It makes sure the company can be held liable for any treatment or complications due to your work-related injury.

I think you have 24 hours to report an injury that happened on the job, so I would report it right away just in case it gets worse
