So I'm a barista who works in the Tryer lab at corporate a few days a week, and a lot of times the projects that we work on take up to several years to actually get into the store testing phase, and a lot of things come through for us to test multiple times along the design pipeline.
We have brought this specific issue up to the corporate folks before, and I can't really talk about it any further, but know that a lot of the operational problems discussed in here that aren't scheduling-related are on their radar, but in what form and what is being done about anything varies wildly.
Petitions won't really do much but a lot of corp folks do read this sub and we reference it to them so putting these kinds of posts out there is worth it, especially because us Tryer baristas giving feedback on things can only discuss our own experiences, and diverse perspectives beyond a handful of Seattle-area baristas of mixed roles are good to have on hand.

That’s a lame excuse though, they aren’t idiots, they just don’t care enough to make it efficient.

Fun fact: a venti cup fits roughly 32 shots. One of my SSVs said she had someone come in once and ask how many they could get in one cup for their free drink.
