Hi! 227xxxx rehire here, just have a quick question to see if anyone has info. I just got rehired beginning of Dec 2021, but am still in training due to Covid. I’m also a reservist in the military and just got last minute orders to report for duty; my report for duty date is 24 Jan. Is it too late to request for a leave of absence or would I have to quit and reapply at a later time?

Per federal law you cannot be fired for military duty, speaking w/your SM and Partner Resources will be your best bet. It is last minute but you couldn’t have done anything about it. Make sure you have with you a copy of your orders to give your SM so they can send into Partner Resources, as it’ll be part of the process to have you put “on leave” (not really but it’ll take you out of the schedule/available partners while you’re on duty). You will still have your job when you come back.
