Separated, should I come back? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Malevolent_barnacle
To keep it short, I took time off for some chaotic personal life stuff, my last shift was 12/26. I told my SM I would need some time off, they said I could take up to 29 days off without filing a LOA. So last week I find the store that I'd like to transfer to, start making connections, and when I go to look something up it says 'user locked'. I reached out to my old SM, who says I can call her on Monday admin. I suspect that I've been separated, as now my spotify doesn't work too (first world, I know).
Anywho...should I even go back? Like, I'm a 9 year partner, and I do need health insurance, and I like the work, but is it worth it? I'm kinda restarting my life already right now so IDK :/

Thank you 😔 sorry I'm going through all the stages of anxiety rn and I think I'm at absurdity. I'm going to talk to them today, wish me luck.

Np. Good luck! Especially when u like the job. A long term barista is hard to come by. I definitely think u should’ve kept in contact with ur store before this stage but understand u were going through personal matters. There are many benefits working at Starbucks so definitely go back :)
