Any tips for a barista looking to move from a franchised store to a corporate store?? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Lol the title says it all pretty much... but another question I have is if I do get an interview, would it work against me to explain that I want to leave my current job because management has changed and we just added mobile orders but our stupidly small kiosk is not fit to deal with mobiles? (Obviously I'd explain it a little different than saying stupid)
bc for real we have tripled our sales, we have a new frantic and unsure manager, only one espresso machine and one tiny fridge and I'm about to lose my shit if I stay but I do love making drinks and talking to so many different people.

I would focus on what you like from your current position. This will be even better if the store you're interviewing at doesn't have a drive thru.
The last couple sentences, you enjoy making drinks and making customer connections. You like your current job for that reason, but would like to work at a store where you can get to know your customers on a more personal level. Instead of focusing on what you dislike, everything sounds better if you phrase it as to what you like! This is one thing that has helped me immensely in job interviews. Good luck!

Sounds like you’re at a licensed store, Starbucks doesn’t franchise. Key difference is you’re technically an employee of the place your kiosk is located in. One of the main differences is you don’t receive the awesome benefits that are available to partners in corporate stores. Tell them you love the culture but want the benefits that corporate stores receive. You’re gonna be a prime candidate since you have prior knowledge from working at a licensed store.

Everyone has made really useful and helpful comments so far.

When you’re asked why you want to leave location A and go to location B, you can say that B is more convenient for you because you can walk there, or whatever.
