God that happened to me at the kiosk i was at. Like it's a smaller area and not as much happens but I have working memory issues sometimes, so sometimes I can catch what they wanted(like if I'm not steaming milk and I greet them when I can hear them, and they're like hi can i get a carmel macchiato? then that's easy) but when they just start going I need 3 regular a 1 decaf shot over ice in a venti cup with xyz and salted foam nO caramel in it--- I will just quickly go "Give me just a moment, sorry!" and usually when I get to them I'll repeat what I did hear so they know i was at least trying to listen lol


But i can't imagine ever being that person, if I'm in line I'll just stand and wait until they're at the register and are ready lol and that was before i had any food service xp

I usually reply, “the register is over there.”

One time I was like “hi are you here for a mobile order” and this guy was like “no I wanted to order” then go to the register loll
