ChristPlays10000216 points1y ago
"one droplet of espresso" lol.
tbhayate77 points1y ago
"one droplet of espresso" when a venti gets four fucking shots 💀
Knitemair3 points1y ago
If I gave them the benefit of the doubt, I'd think they're used to venti shaken espressos getting 5 shots as standard before the name change but....you'd think they would've learned that by now since it's been almost 2 years with that change. just get iced espresso, smh
mrcupcake1838 points1y ago
It’s called a shot Linda! Lmao
kennsnaps155 points1y ago
Couple ladies order this at my store with "very light ice" and complain it's too milky... When we're like "okay wanna pay for more espresso or do you want room?" They're like "no I want more coffee but it shouldn't cost more." So we make it normal and they don't complain lmao
Ok-Mycologist901166 points1y ago
we don’t give them more milk. We have someone order one with no ice everyday and everyday we tell her that the drink is really 1/2 a cup full and the rest is ice. We strain her shaken espresso then add the milk on top. Everyday she bitches but she takes the drink and never orders anything else 😂😂
kennsnaps27 points1y ago
Why are people like this? 😂 But good you guys for not giving in. I have people do the "grande pike venti cup milk filled up to the top" and I'm one of maybe 3 people that are able to tell them that's not how this works.
Ok-Mycologist901129 points1y ago
we also had a guy today order 6 shots over ice in a venti cup 3 vanilla 3 hazelnut 6 classic 2% to the top you bet your ass i packed that ice😂😂 he was pissed but my shift was like “Nope this is right! If you wanted more milk order a latte next time!” after yelling at me and my poor coworker over the price then yelling at us bc there wasn’t enough milk bc I gave him 3/4 inch as he ordered😂😂
kennsnaps20 points1y ago
I get people trying this all the time! There was a young lady that asked for doppio espresso with a grande cup of ice and a cup of lactose free milk on the side... When we gave her half an inch of milk she was pissed. Why she didn't just order an iced espresso with milk and extra ice OR a fucking grande iced latte, instead of wasting all those cups? We may never know. People will literally threaten our livelihoods over $2.
persona-23 points1y ago
These people are the reason we have the charge for milk side of the screen. They whine I charge them.
Zealousideal-Star4484 points1y ago
I had a regular get a tall in a grende with a “splash” of creamer and the rest filled with whipped cream! I ended up trying it and it’s good cuz you also get the vanilla syrup a little but without paying extra
LZARDKING12 points1y ago
It’s literally so frustrating when people order light ice espresso drinks and then don’t understand why there’s so much milk. My number one pet peeve for sure.
rosallia5 points1y ago
People think its made with iced coffee or something. They don't understand how caffinated shots are for one, for two they probably don't know what shots are, what they look like. The don't understand four shots is like 4oz.
GaggleGuy2 points1y ago
I have been asked to remake drinks that “just don’t taste right” by repeat offenders for years. If we’re busy enough I will sometimes pull the drink back, take the lid off, hide it in a way that looks like I’m remaking the drink, and then hand the drink back after a couple minutes. To my surprise the drink “taste perfect now thank you so much” as they walk out none the wiser.
You may think this is scummy practice, but I only do it to customers that come in every other day and ask for remakes every single time. I like to think it’s fair.
dlcksuck1 points1y ago
I refuse to fill the cup all the way when people ask for light ice unless they specifically ask me to. It lead to people thinking the drink should be made with that amount of milk when it’s not
axel_ispurechaos30 points1y ago
Had a old woman order 3 drinks and one was a cappuccino. She tasted the cappuccino I had made and told me it was wrong and had me remake it. I wasn't going to fight it since I had made it a dry cappuccino. I made the 2nd one a wet cappuccino and asked me why there isn't any flavor and why was there so much foam. I had to explain to her for 10 mins what a cappuccino was. TURNS OUT THE CAPPUCCINO WAS FOR HER HUSBAND CAUSE HE ASKED HER TO GET HIM ONE AND THAT SHE NEVER HAD ONE BEFORE. Like???
-beam-me-up-2 points1y ago
Why would she have you remake a drink that's not for her???
axel_ispurechaos1 points1y ago
Honestly no idea
Dramatic_Celery_226226 points1y ago
I have to Barney style cappuccinos for them like you are aware your drink is all foam right? Would you like a latte instead? But hey what do we know we just work here 😂😂😂😂
mrcupcake183 points1y ago
Omg yes!! I hate when they tell me things like I don’t work here or like “you know the one you have that’s blah blah blah” listen Brenda I KNOW. I work here! 😂
Jennywhocaniturnto8626 points1y ago
Lmao oatmeal
LobsterOk104916 points1y ago
Decided to look up our own reviews and ppl are mad that we don’t have enough workers to open on time but somehow that’s our fault and that we make our own drinks before we open but won’t make theirs while we are closed. It’s a pandemic ppl aren’t coming to work and atp the store is operating by the day. I myself don’t know if I will be turned around at the door. 😂
keskobalt2 points1y ago
Had a review from a girl calling our manager racist bc she finally got fed up with this annoying coworker we had and then closed the store bc it was time to close. Then the reviewer called our DM who sided with our SM and she got salty. Like you know nothing that goes on back here sit down.

My favorite review was "Mobile ordered ahead, walked in a couple minutes after and my drink still wasn't ready!" On a one star rating lmaoo
aspoonfulofsammy112 points1y ago
One droplet lmao
digitalsushi01 points1y ago
This is the exact situation that we need to use the "Add Dairy" button
Baristajf1 points1y ago
Some chick ordered a iced matcha latte with oat milk, vsccf, 2 shots, caramel drizzle and about 5 other modifications… then had the gf nerve to ask if that was her drink when no one else was even there… you just paid $10 fuckin dollars for a drink and you don’t know wtf it looks like?!
Pylon-Cam-61 points1y ago
Sounds like they do understand, honestly. The BSOSE is only supposed to get a splash of oat milk when made properly.
heyitsme96352 points1y ago
They put out a weekly update about 3 weeks after the drink was launched telling us to fill the cup all the way to the top with milk to prevent customer complaints.
Pylon-Cam-9 points1y ago
Yes, but when you shake it with enough ice, it should take up nearly the whole cup. So you’d only need a light pour of oat milk to fill it.
heyitsme96315 points1y ago
You’d think, but almost half of the time, they ask for no foam, or light ice, or less espresso, or it’s a mobile and it all collapses and I have to add more milk anyway.
bacchusblond49 points1y ago
Pretty sure OP’s talking about the part where they complain about the espresso being blonde
Ashesremindme46 points1y ago
And they actually wrote out oatmeal...
Beautiful-Director13 points1y ago
If it gets shaken correctly the amount of foam in the cup only leaves a little room for the milk.
Pylon-Cam1 points1y ago
That’s essentially what I was saying…
Beautiful-Director3 points1y ago
I get what you’re saying but I do also think you’re giving the customer the benefit of the doubt. I would bet they ordered less ice or left their mobile sitting for awhile then complained about it being empty so a green bean probably just topped it off with more milk
clumsycalico10 points1y ago
You sound like the girl who mobile orders this drink 45 minutes before she comes to pick it up and complains that all the foam melted and the cup is half empty.
Pylon-Cam-2 points1y ago
Why do you think that? I’m a 2.5 year partner.
All I was saying is that the customer appears to be correct here.
arcanalalune3 points1y ago
So... You make it with signature espresso then?
Pylon-Cam1 points1y ago
I make it with blonde espresso as per the recipe.
I was only talking about the amount of oat milk we put in it. Sorry for the confusion.
Necessary_Low9393 points1y ago
No u don’t know what you’re taking about.
Pylon-Cam2 points1y ago
I do, actually. I’m a 2.5 year partner.
A brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso gets significantly less milk than a latte when made correctly. The ice/espresso/foam should take up most of the room in the cup.
Necessary_Low9393 points1y ago
Any iced shaken espresso shouldn’t get that much milk in general but were told to top it off to the top and it gets milky. The regular one gets only a splash of milk. The bubbles will eventually disintegrate which leaves the drink kinda empty if drank later and people complain. People are also not pulling shots correctly think a tall gets one shot. There’s many factors. I know when I shook it correctly with all those foam I still need to put more than a splash of milk. And yes it does get less milk than a latte due to the bubbles, extra shots, other ingredients but it is not just a splash.
Edit the regular one gets only a splash n customers know milk is not topped off to the top. I made them back in 2014

Yes. If you use a full scoop of ice and shake it well, there’s only room for a little bit of oat milk at the top anyways.
