Cold bar is a really frustrating position because of the mobile/cafe/DT orders mixing, so don't feel bad. Frappuccinos are always time consuming, which is why most baristas hate them! I'd say look out for the DT drinks and which mobile orders are in the drive thru so there is less of a wait. That's really all supervisors worry about when they do this. Do those waiting in the store end up waiting longer?... Umm. Unfortunately not everyone will be happy.

My biggest tips from a store with 30 sec daypart;
1. Anticipate your dt drinks; since you can hear what they’re ordering honestly just hustle.
2. You have 11 seconds to prep that cup(if layered) slash start those next 7 steps of the blended bev routine, make it count
3. If your store has higher ticket items per order, then sequence based on how many in the order before you handoff and grab next sticker if that makes sense. So if I know there are 3 fraps do them all before handing off and Inter sequence like that.
4. If I’m planted on cold bar i let my bar 1/2 know exactly how to stage my cups and do mobiles in between every 2-3 dt drinks.
Hope this helps!

Shifts will put you in places to practice and then will pull you off if it’s effecting the DT times or if you look overwhelmed. I used to do the same thing. We just want you to be able to practice without drowning. Cold bar is a pain and it’s really hard to stay in a sequence. Personally, I love cold bar, but it can be madness when it starts to get busy. Just ask to go back on when it starts to slow down or see if there’s room in the play to have an extra person on there.
