So, I've only been with the Siren for 3 months. I didn't make a habit of calling out, BUT I recently had to call out for 4 different days. My kids came down with the flu, so I took a day off to take them to the doctors and got them covid and flu tested(Covid negative and Influenze Type A positive). The next day, I was feeling fine, so I went into work. About halfway through my shift I started to feel absolutely horrible, feeling like I was going to pass out and getting whole body chills. I told my ssv that my kids has the flu and I was starting to feel really sick and needed to go home. She sent me home, and then I had to call out for the next 3 days due to having a fever and vomiting from having the flu. After that, I've been getting scheduled 15 hours or less per week. I felt like, and still feel like, I am getting punished for calling out with the flu, and that's the reason for the reduction in hours. I've been trying to get ahold of my manager about it for over a week, but my texts go unanswered, when I call it rings twice and gets sent to voice-mail. This job is already not worth being stressed out and depressed because of, and now I'm not getting enough hours to constitute my showing up, so I quit.

The best advice I have for new employees is that you are getting paid minimum wage, don’t bring your work home, don’t even think about it, once they pay you to pick up the phone at 3am to cover a shift then you bring it home, at that point I hope the wage is over 13/h
