Don’t get involved with the drama. Seriously don’t. Be friendly but firm with your boundaries because these people will try to drag you in. Personally I don’t care if y’all gossip and talk about me, but do it off the clock. If I were you I’d just mind your business and eventually you might get a friend you can trust and they can be the person you talk to everything about (off the clock) but Yknow when we’re clocked in we’re just trying to do our jobs and get paid. If you want to talk about people and all that at least wait until you know who you can trust, because these people also switch up real quick

Don’t agree to take every single shift you’re asked to cover unless you can handle it. Set boundaries. Be kind to the customers but do not let yourself be treated poorly. Be open to learn and just know you will not get it all right away. And that’s ok. You’ll do great.

Don't let them make you feel bad for calling out if/when you get sick. Your health shouldn't be compromised just because they don't see you as human. Don't cover shifts for other people if it's detrimental to you in any way. They will work you to death if you allow them to, so don't allow them to. Leave work at work, don't bring any part of it home with you.

At the end of the day, you're simply just making a cup of coffee. It's a job and thats all it is. Dont take any negative things that happen too to heart and there is a seperation between your personal life and your work life. You can have a shitty day at work but that is not your whole life, thats just one part, and after a shitty days' work, you can forget about it all and go with your friends because once again, youre just making coffee .
