recipe changes 1/21 (self.starbucksbaristas)

Why were recipes revised 1/21?...Matcha lemonade gets water now? Strawberry Frap gets puree in the cup. Thank you for making these changes during a pandemic.

Strawberry frap has always gotten puree at the bottom, to my knowledge. Every time someone tried to tell me it didn't, I'd whip out the recipe card.

I worked at Starbucks for 7 years. The drink has changed a lot...but I don't remember it ever getting puree pre serious strawberry version. Also, silly that it has different classic syrup pumps vs the green tea frap.

Oh I see! I've only been with Starbucks since April 2019 so that's probably why I haven't noticed a change.

Yeah puree in cup started with the seriously strawberry. Maybe they meant that it’s not a new change.

I never knew the seriously strawberry!

Matcha lemonade always received water, I think the only change to that was when Starbucks changed the lemonade so that it's mixed into a pitcher, IIRC

The strawberry frap has changed almost yearly for the last 3-4 years - when it was the Serious Strawberry or whatever they called it, it got puree on the bottom and the top as well as whip

Yeah, I remember the serious strawberry and the strawberry tea. If someone ordered lemonade I don't dilute it. So it's weird to me that we are diluting the matcha lemonade. Cold foam is confusing but I guess we made less so we waste less. The caramel ribbon crunch also doesn't get caramel pumped before the wc is added. Just thinking damn, what else am I making wrong. LOL

Both of these things have been in place for at least a year, since before i started

Yeah, it's just interesting imo. I've been working this whole time and talking to my coworkers about it. It's funny the things that have been "updated" but we don't know about. Or the things that are standard that we are still divided on. Luckily we can check the iPad at work for the recipe card.

I was under the impression that matcha lemonade always got water? But yeah really, I don’t see changing recipes as a priority in a time like this.

I'm down to water it down. We could all use some more water.

True. Gotta help those customers get some H20 somehow.
