Starbucks Baristas: The daily grind

I had to get catastrophe pay for 5 days, which means that I’ll be paid for my scheduled shifts for the week right? But I was scheduled for 18.25 hours this week which my manager changed to 13.5, after she confirmed cat pay with me. Is this allowed? I was depending on the 18.25. (self.starbucksbaristas)

Edit: it’s now been changed to 0 hours. How is this fair? I was depending on the hours. What’s the point of cat pay if she just delegates my shifts away and I don’t get any hours to be paid for?

Did you ask your manager about it? Definitely ask first and then CALL PCC ASAP

I asked her, and she vaguely said “You will get cat pay for all missed shifts” and she seemed annoyed and ignorant about it so I didn’t want to pry. It was so vague and unclear. I am thinking of calling PCC but will I get in trouble with my manager if I do?

She has to still have a usable schedule, especially to print daily for the ssvs. She said you will be paid for your missed shifts, which do not reflect on your end until payroll is submitted. But in the mean time, she needs to cover those shifts, so they disappear on your personal schedule as she gets them covered.
She has the original schedule as a reference to pay out the original shifts.

Wait and see, same happened to me but it was just the manager adjusting the schedule to easier see who was actually working. I still got paid for all my missed shifts

On the app? My hours were removed from the schedule but I still got CAT pay for my scheduled shifts

Oh okay! Thanks! I am hoping that’s the case

As long as you have disclosed vaccine status then yes, but it’s only 5 days now.
