my favorite is from this older woman i work with (who is very bitter about customers to us partners), she always says “what a beautiful day to be at starbucks!!!” then turns to us and rolls her eyes. love her

Basic, yet genuine.

Edit: when on DTO I literally say the same thing to every single customer because I heard my SM saying the same thing. “Good morning, welcome to Starbucks. What can we get started for ya?”

For most customers I do the usual Hi! Welcome to Starbucks, my name is ___ what's yours? Awesome, nice to meet you ____! What can I get for you :)
For my regulars (specifically the two in particular who have my sense of humor) I say shit like "hi! Welcome to the land of coffee, what flavor of caffeine were we thinking today for our wakeup?

I have horrible vocal fry so I just play that up to my advantage. I do always end with a “happy Monday” or whatever day of the week it is. Thursday I refer to as Friday Eve. Sometimes I’ll update whatever food we pulled to much of in any creative way I can think of “thanks for choosing Starbucks where we’ve got bacon goudas a plenty” things like that.

Mine is boring. “Good morning! Welcome to Starbucks, how are you today?” Surprisingly most people answer and a majority of this people also ask how I am (even though we know they don’t care haha). It feels more natural for me and also gives me some extra time to do other stuff like grab coffee or help finish a drink.
