It sounds like they either 1) didn't know what they were ordering or 2) knew what they were trying to order and did not do so. It doesn't read to me like you made a mistake here. Sorry they were upset

Even if she had ordered it in a venti cup you still use the same amount of milk (up to 4oz) and an inch of cold foam and the rest would be ice. If she wants a white mocha she needs to order it as (and pay for) a white mocha. I usually say something like “our policy is only this much milk and foam unless you order it as a latte.”

Um no she's in the wrong she didn't ask for the right drink and/or she's trying to scam starbucks by paying less for her drink. Also if they don't tell us the size we can put it in whatever size we want and logic for me dictates a tall

So we got ppl coming in all the time getting that drink. What I do is ice syrup shots, then more ice then foam it’s not filled to the top. But it’s what they asked for so it’s what they get .

I just try to explain starbucks’ pricing policy to them (they never really understand but at least it lets them know there is an actual reason). Also unless someone orders a triple espresso and adds milk, it doesn’t get any milk :)
