I can't speak on Cigna specifically, but I had called my insurance directly to clarify what they offered right after getting my go ahead to keep on in my transition. It was a headache (as anything with medicine and insurance is, I'm used to it being on painkillers and ADHD meds), but I also got a call unexpectedly from partner advocacy saying that they were helping getting that process going as well. With their help, I was able to pick up my prescription in about a week and had more people helping figure out prior authorizations.

Depends on what you’re expecting to get out of insurance. All the major carriers support hrt since it’s relatively cheap. As for surgeries, your Cigna plan counts as primary insurance and then supplemental covers what Cigna doesn’t. Contact SBUX advocate line @ 866-849-7103 and they should be able to tell you what you need to do. Charlie’s the person you’ll want to get to know on a first name basis! Good luck and Godspeed!
