I really hate when people leave orders up to me lol.

Mostly because I don’t want them to waste their money on something they’re not gonna like. Also because usually they tend to be pretty nice to me. Usually I’m stuck trying to discern what they want and a coworker will save me by generalizing and getting a drink made for them 😎

I don't. Iced chai is what they get if I'm asked this.

I ask the following questions:

-“What size?”
-“Hot or iced?”
-“Coffee or no coffee?”
-“Any allergies or dietary restrictions?”

From there, I can usually figure out what I’m gonna make.

I give them whatever modification of the seasonal item all the baristas are trying. Hot oatmilk sugar cookie. Pistachio foam. Blonde raspberry mocha now that we have raspberry back.

i just give them whatever drink i’ve been fixated on and use them as my test subject lmfao

i give them hot pike. if they want some cool drink they can look it up

I ask them if they want their drink hot or cold, and if they want it sweet or to taste like coffee. Then I make them drinks I like based on their answers:

Tastes like coffee and hot: Americano w cream and raw sugar

Tastes like coffee and cold: iced blond Americano w cream and brown sugar syrup

Tastes sweet and hot: blond caramel white mocha

Tastes sweet and cold: BSOSE w half pumps white mocha and sweet cream foam

My go to is okay, any allergies?

If they say they want coffee, I give them white mocha. If they want non coffee, it’s a pink drink. I’m not playing no games lmao

I haven't had to yet but I think in these cases they're looking for something photogenic more than anything else. A refresher lemonade or an iced caramel macchiato might do the trick without being too expensive. It's a very weird trend and I know none of the things I personally like would satisfy a teen looking for tiktok clout lol.

Usually when people ask me I try asking questions either they want it hot or iced, if they want it sweet or strong or if they need it to have coffee in it. I’m usually the one drinking refreshers for the majority of the time (if it’s not my 8 shots over ice) and I don’t wanna give someone something they don’t like, usually I’ll have them try it at the window to be sure and if not simply make them something else :)

my fav for the summer is a blended strawberry lemonade, sub lemonade for MDF base. i always add extra ice to any blended beverage bc i like it thicker but :)

every time someone orders one of those i try to convince my coworkers to just give them black coffee. no one ever does 😔
