Anyone notice that people really don't know wtf they're ordering half the the time? It's primarily DT customers, they'll order something, *we say it back to them for confirmation* and when they get to the window its "That's not what I wanted" ,"Oh I wanted that Hot/Cold" or "Oops I actually wanted it *insert size*". Then they just stare at you. That its just stare, no "could you please remake that?" Or "I'm sorry about that I wasn't paying attention". Just a blank stare. Sometimes we get a spicy customer that will argue with us about a drink not being what it is...when its literally the exact order. Literally had a lady argue with us that Frap mean it was iced and didn't want it blended today. My cue for knowing we're going to have an issue at the window is Me - "Alrighty and what's the name for the order?" Them - "Okay/thank you *pulls forward*"

A few days ago a lady asked for a "pecan coffee". I told her we don't have pecan but our syrups with a nutty flavor include; toffee nut, hazelnut, and chestnut praline. Of course she interrupted me and went, "Yeah the praline one that's what it was! PRALINE!" Then she asked if she could get the praline coffee and I told her she could get it in pretty much anything, like an espresso, latte, or americano. Then she goes— "so it's......a syrup?"
And that's when I knew whatever we gave her wasn't gonna be what she was expecting.

This is why I always repeat orders back because I'm tried of people saying I got it wrong when I didn't and they just want an extra free drink

Had one ask for Stevia in a Frappuccino. You bet your ass I confirmed that's what she said. Then when she asks for it to be remade she said "I asked for a vegan frapp" and I don't want stevia in it.
Excuse me mam it HAS MILK IN IT THAT KEEPS IT TOGETHER THIS IS NOT A VEGAN DRINK and I asked you twice.

I always try to say something like “alright if everything looks good on the screen then I’ll see you at the window for (total)” so that way when they do say I got something wrong, I can fire back with “Aww geez my bad I thought everything was good on the screen, don’t worry I’ll fix it” so that way it’s kind of a subtle way to say “that’s DEFINITELY not what you said- but whatever”. You can always get your feelings across if you know what to say!!

I love finding professional ways to tell people off. Our store doesn't have a screen in our DT so it's all verbalizing 😭 so its just a big he said she said.
Our mission is to provide everyone with access to large- scale community websites for the good of humanity. Without ads, without tracking, without greed.
