If I was exposed to COVID outside of work, and have not had to isolate yet, do I get compensation for the 5 day isolation period?(self.starbucksbaristas)

My daughter tested positive so I had to isolate for 10 days (in CA we still do 10 days). I got paid for the isolation. This was in January 2022.

Regardless of vaccination status everyone exposed for 15 minutes in the store has to isolate for 10 day again.I think you only get paid if you disclosed and I think they are only paying two isolations per quarter.

I understand. It’s weird that it’s only at work. Like. I was with my sister for 6 hours who tested positive later that day and since it wasn’t at work I am okay to work

….. why would you

Because the company says you get paid but it says exposure at work, so my anxious brain thinks they’ll say no pay since it was outside work and I won’t pay my bills, thanks for your input though.

If you are vaccinated and were exposed to Covid, you do not need to isolate. If you are not vaccinated, you won't be paid for your isolation.

They updated the standards to vaccinated or not. My manager shared the new COVID isolation guidelines on Thursday that apply to all partners
