COVID Super Spreaders Getting on My Last Nerve (Grande Rant) (self.starbucksbaristas)

I work at a location in Texas, so already, you can imagine how many people wear a mask both in-store and in the drive-thru. I have been super lucky the past 2 years and haven't caught COVID yet (that I'm aware of), but working in a high traffic store where a majority of the customers don't wear masks makes me so fucking nervous. The amount of times a day I'm on DTO and I hear the dreaded "Can I get a medicine ball?" followed by the GROSSEST cough ever is insane. I hate working all the time and being exposed to COVID practically all hours. It's gotten to the point where I wear 3 masks when I'm on the floor. I really wish Starbucks would up their game and require masks in ALL locations because I am getting so fucking sick (no pun intended) of constantly fearing that the customer I just served is gonna give me COVID. Also, if you're sick, don't go through the DT with no mask and touching your face and shit? The number of times I've had the "By the way, I have COVID, I would wash your hands :)" is almost enough to make me quit. I hate Texas.
