Does anyone know if starbucks pays asu tuition if you are working in one of the grocery store ones?

I believe not since you are not a Starbucks employee, your an employee of the grocery store.

To my understanding if you were like a target Starbucks employee you're still considered a target employee? If that's the case, you could look into benefits at the store you work for. Because I am aware that target has a tuition reimbursement program but I'm not sure about other grocery stores

Sadly no.
You have to be working for a corporate Starbucks for 6 (I believe) months and maintain an average of at least 20 hours a week.
I just started my first semester and so far I definitely think it’s a benefit that should be utilized for those with the time. I’ve only paid for books so far, although I know once SB has paid ~5k (again, I believe) in tuition, I’ll have to pay some taxes on it, but that will be considerably less than paying for everything myself! I’ve paid ~100 for books and that’s it so far.
Good luck!(:

3 months, you become benefits eligible after 240 hours. I just started the process and start in March. Also: Sbux pays 5250 yearly. Anything else is taxed. Read the SCAP pdf, it goes over tax bracket. (About $300 for every 1,000 if you’re in the 22% tax bracket)

Thank you!! I had asked my store manager about the taxing situation and she didn’t know, this clears it up!(:
Side note, do you know how they bill that to you? I hope it doesn’t come out of checks automatically.

I think it does come out automatically, but if you pull up the SCAP pdf, it explains it somewhat well. It’s a direct bill per ASU (so they pay the bill, then Sbux takes out taxes).
