before i begin, congratulations to all the partners who won this quarter!!!
I lost. I got the details, I was in third place. Even after spending the past two months *working my ass off* trying to win it. I did so much. I covered shifts, stayed later, said yes, went above and beyond for customers. I’m one of the most efficient partners at so many stations, especially bar. I rarely do remakes and when I do it was someone at reg’s mistake. I know I’m tooting my own horn here and that’s not something I normally do, but this time around I know that I exceeded expectations. I know I deserved it. What makes it hurt most, is the guy who got in 2nd place is a new kid who shows up late every single one of his f*cking shifts even though he lives ACROSS THE STREET (literally gave him a ride home once) and just does the bare minimum the whole time. Why. Him. He’s a good partner, I’m not trying to hate on the guy, but he didn’t put in the effort + dedication I did in hopes I’d win it.
I know I sound really selfish and conceited. I get it. But I don’t stick my neck out like this often, and this one time I did… this is what I get. I’ll move on, try the next round, whatever. It just hurts that running 5x fast, it still isn’t enough for me to be seen over the goofy, bare-minimum-doing guys. Just feels like I tried for nothing. I just wanted to be proud of myself.
TL;DR
I lost POQ to an undeserving guy and I’m hurt my partners are so oblivious to my hard work. Obviously I’ll get over it, just sad for today.
